Passwords

When you use SixMap’s authentication service, you sign in with your email address and password. The password must be at least 14 characters and include at least one of each of the following:

  • Uppercase letter
  • Lowercase letter
  • Number
  • Symbol, such as !, #, or %

To ensure a strong password:

  • Don’t use words that are easily guessable.
  • Don’t include personal details such as birth dates, phone numbers, or family member names.
  • Don’t reuse the same password you use for other online accounts.
  • Base your password on a phrase or sentence.

Change your password

You can reset your password at any time. However, if your organization requires you to use single sign-on, then you don’t manage your password on your profile. Instead, you manage it through your identity provider.

  1. Navigate to Profile, Settings.
  2. From the Password section, select Reset by email.
  3. Confirm you want to log out and reset your password.
  4. From the email you receive, select Reset Password.
  5. Follow the prompts on the Set a new password screen to create a new strong password.

Log in without a password

If you prefer to log in without setting a new password, you can sign in directly from the password reset email.

  1. Navigate to Profile, Settings.
  2. From the Password section, select Reset by email.
  3. Confirm you want to log out and reset your password.
  4. From the email you receive, select Log in without password and access the SixMap app.
