Profile settings

From Profile, Settings, manage your name, password, and multi-factor authentication settings.

Personal information

If necessary, you can update your personal details, such as your name.

To edit your email address, contact your organization's SixMap account admin.

Edit personal information

To update your personal details:

  1. Navigate to Profile, Settings.
  2. Select Edit from the Personal information section.
  3. In the Name field, update your first and last name.
  4. Select Save.

Password

You can reset your password at any time. However, if your organization requires you to use single sign-on, then you don’t manage your password on your profile. Instead, you manage it through your identity provider. For more information, see Passwords.

Reset your password

  1. Navigate to Profile, Settings.
  2. From the Password section, select Reset by email.
  3. Confirm you want to log out and reset your password.
  4. From the email you receive, select Reset Password.
  5. Follow the prompts on the Set a new password screen to create a new strong password.

Multi-factor authentication (MFA)

MFA is an authentication method that requires users to identify themselves with two or more forms of verification when they sign in. For more information, see MFA.

Enable MFA

  1. If necessary, download and install a mobile authenticator app on your personal device.
  2. Navigate to Profile, Settings.
  3. For Multi-factor authentication, select the enable option.
  4. Under Link an authenticator app, use your mobile authenticator to scan the quick response (QR) code.
  5. Select Next.
  6. Enter the confirmation code that you receive on your device.
  7. Under Save backup codes, copy the list of backup recovery codes, then print them and keep them in a safe place. You can use the codes if you lose your device or can’t receive confirmation codes for some other reason.
  8. Select Done.
